Welcome! The "LeCourt" Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, established in 2000 is located in the heart of the Willamette Valley in the beautiful Pacific Northwest area of Oregon State. I hope you enjoy visiting my web site, meeting some of my dogs, and getting to know more about my passion for the breed. I Primarily show my dogs myself in both the AKC and CKCSC-USA and I have earned AKC titles on 2 dogs and bred 1 AKC BBE Champion. I am proud of my accomplishments and baby step contributions I have made to the breed. I now realize that I have begun a journey that will consume the rest of my life. But, while not all of my Cavaliers are champions, they all are, and always will be, my "kids." I am quite proud that my dogs do not live in a “kennel”, as they live in my home with me. They are, after all, the only kids I have... My first and foremost objective is to protect the breed in all ways. And secondly to produce quality dogs that mirror breed type, beauty, health and conformation, and temperament. I strive to maintain a natural elegance in my Cavaliers. And most importantly, never lose sight of the ultimate goal: the future health and longevity of our breed. I strive to breed and raise for all these traits, by conscientious breeding programs followed by in-home socialization, healthy and happy surroundings, exercise, and proper nourishment and health care for all my dogs, adult and puppy. I acquired my first Cavalier from a local reputable breeder and a longtime member of the Cavalier community. In essence, “Court” has forever changed my life. I promptly joined the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club USA and its regional affiliate, Cavaliers of the West. Shortly thereafter a small group of us founded the Oregon Trail Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club that serves the Portland area down through the Willamette Valley corridor of Oregon.
